Free-spirited and wise. You have a strong passionate spirit that touches and changes all who know you. The wisdom and common sense that you have is really what guides you through life. Even so, you also have a very playful side that loves adventure and excitement.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

How strangely familiar...I dressed up like a Native American in high school once, and I like to sing that hokey song about the colors of the wind (Mike hates that song, he he). I am part Apache...

Ode to Sean

We are so happy to have our son finally here. I think back to a few weeks ago, months even and remember how much I wanted to meet him. Heavenly Father blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. We loved him before we even knew he was coming. We waited six years to see him. We wanted everything to be just right for him. Now that he is here, we love just looking at him in wonder and awe. We can't believe that we have been entrusted with such a lovely spirit. We are truly thankful and happy to have him. We feel so blessed.
We love you Sean.

Billiards anyone?

My parents finally got their pool table up and running. We have fun playing, (I got to play once, I am mommy the rest of the time). It makes my parents home the official cool hang out spot. They have a swimming pool, a pool table and a nice backyard with a great new barbeque. It is fun and relaxing, like a mini vacation! Here's a photo of Mike and my brother Arthur.

Poor Doggy Jake!

Well, our poor pup now will be lopsided. We were walking him on Sunday, August 3 (our 6 year anniversary) because we wanted to get out since it is so hard to do so with Sean. We also thought about how it would be nice to walk the dog since he had been sort of ignored since we brought Sean home. Also, it was our anniversary and we wanted to break the newborn routine. We walked Jake around the neighborhood as usual. The corner before we got home, Jake decided to stick his head under a fence, before we could react, the dog that lived there bit a chunk of Jake's ear off. We didn't notice until we got home. We ended up going to the Emergency vet at 8:45pm that night and didn't get home until 10pm, $320 poorer. Wee, what a fun anniversary! Look at how sad he looks, but it sure doesn't stop him from getting into trouble!

Great-Grandma Emma

This is a little late, but who cares! Here we are having breakfast with the grandparents, great grandparents, and grand uncle and aunt and aunt. Phew, what a mouthful! It is so nice to see different generations together like this. It was a Saturday morning and my parents and sister along with Mike, Sean, and I got together with my grandparents and aunt and uncle at Nick's restaurant. It was our first outing with Sean and you could totally tell we were new at this (bottle problems and all), but we had fun and enjoyed seeing family.

Meet Sean Michael...

Hello, I am Sean Michael Rueckert. I weighed 8 pounds 15 3/4 ounces when I was born and measured 21 inches. I was born on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 9:31 am. I don't like to be swaddled, I smile often and can hold my head up!When I sleep, I sleep! I don't know who I look like the most, you decide. Well, apart from being about 3 weeks old now, there isn't much I do other than eat, sleep, and soil my diaper. I weigh over 10 pounds now! Jake the dog gets along with me pretty well. He leaves me alone but is interested in me. Whenever I cry he will sit next to me until someone comes to get me. I guess he is my babysitter. Everything is going pretty well! I hope I can meet you all soon, I have already met so many of you!
